Since its founding, the Croatian Composers’ Society has released several hundreds of scores in the editions “Ars Croatica” and “Popular Melodies,” together with a large number of sound recordings of Croatian contemporary music.
In 2001, the Society founded Cantus, a limited liability company, with the aim of promoting the Society’s editions of Croatian contemporary music by recording and publishing them. Cantus’ activities include publishing records, scores, books and catalogues, monographies, and Cantus newspaper.
The editions “Ars Croatica” and “Papandopulo” hold a prominent place among the scores published by Cantus. “Ars Croatica” is the only Croatian edition that has for decades systematically promoted contemporary music by publishing representative works of Croatian authors. “Boris Papandopulo” edition is committed to releasing works from Papandopulo’s opus on an annual basis. Other editions include releases of popular music, music for children, choir music and others.
Recordings released by Cantus include authorial albums of Croatian composers of contemporary music, popular music albums, jazz albums, folk or choir albums and music for children.
