About the Author

Petar Bergamo wrote compositions of symphonic music (two symphonies: Musica Concertante, a study for symphony orchestra; Navigare necesse est, overture - phantasie), chamber music (String Quartet; Espressioni notturne, a piano trio; Canzone antiche, a wind trio; Arco per Archi, for strings), music for solo instruments (Variazioni sul tema interrotto for piano; Concerto abbreviato for solo clarinet; Domande senza risposta for saxophone and piano) and music for film and stage, vocal - instrumental ensembles and also stage music. These works find their identity in the aesthetic and craft transposition of the 20th century classics into the personal music poetics of distinguished gesture, charged with expressiveness and rich colours. Since 1983 he has been living in Zagreb as a freelance artist.
